Knickers 4 £nickers Day

My employer and I helped run a very successful charity day entitled 'Knickers 4 £nickers' to help raise money for Get Ahead.

The day was a huge success after many lingerie companies kindly donated knickers to me, in all shapes and sizes, for me to auction off. Well this is exactly what happened. We hung washing lines all the way around our floor of my employer and hung the pants on with pegs. Throughout the day people purchased the pants until they were all gone.

We had games running throughout the day too. One called 'pin the pants on the pin-up,' 'treasure hunt for the pants,' and last but not least we sold 'knickerbocker glories' as snacks.

Everyone had lots of fun and it even got published in the local papers. Altogether we raised over £300 towards helping Get Ahead, which I forwarded along to them and they are deeply greatful.

I just want to thank everyone for all their hard work and ideas.
